Opening band: Billionaire
I just got back from the concert. It was great. Ian's vocals were awesome, Billy's
work with guitar was incredible. Opening band was Billionaire, they were pretty good
and then they handed out a 3 song tape of theirs. Ian said they just got in from Rio
de Janeiro, it was 4 year trip. Ian had the crowd working and the group really played
well together. My friend got a playlist from one of the roadies. Can't wait until the
new album and another tour.

The Cult are the best band in the world. They opened with Lil' Devil and rocked
the crap out of the House of Blues. The auidence was defintly into it. Everyone was
dancing around. The Cult's intensity was increbile. Ian made some interesting comments
like "The man made me take the drugs.." and that they had one more show then they were
goinng into the studio for another album. In The Clouds, She Sells Sanctuary,
Fire Woman, Wildflower, and Love Rmeoval Machine were probably the
most incredible songs I have ever heard live. The only parts that were sub-par were that
a guitar "squeaked" at the begininng of Edie (Ciao Baby), and Ian had to check
the montior in a part of Fire Woman. I can't wait to see them again.

One of the best Cult shows I have seen, and it was my seventh; Ian was on form with
good comedy as well as a splendid performance. I'm sure everyone knows the set list by
now, hits, hits, hits, but I must say I am pleased to report that I can now die happy-
They did The Phoenix, which I have never seen live, and it was worth the wait.
The other surprise was New York City which was awesome (I was waiting for Iggy
Pop to jump from the wings and join in). Billy was his usual intense self until about
the third song when he began to look like he might be having quite a good time; Not a
whole lot of contact between Ian and Billy, but at least they didn't break up (my
favorite Ian joke of the night was: "I just got off the plane from Rio... I hate those
four year flights" - my husband and I had flown from England the DAY of the Ft.
Lauderdale show at the Edge in 1995 and had PASSES for the show, when upon landing in
Miami and driving to the parents' house to change and go straight to the show, my
Sanctuary editor called and said "guess what, no show, no one knows what's happening but
Ian is not here!"), so we very much appreciated the joke. The new guys looked like they
were having a total blast, it was great, and Matt the Sun God was fantastic; glad to see
him back. And I've never seen anyone else play drums with sticks that look like baseball
bats. The venue was good, great sound, and amid the usual orlando (yuck) crowd of off work
strippers and walking Gap ads, there were quite a lot of serious Cult fans; She Sells
Sanctuary went off as usual, and my neck still hurts. There you have it, can't wait

Unfinished Business: AWESOME SHOW! Sorry I missed Fort Lauderdale, I heard it was one
of the best shows this tour, Ian with WAR PAINT for the encore. Orlando ROCKED! I was
right in front of Billy. Packed out crowd. This was the first time I really noticed Ian's
crazy faces on stage. He must have sticken his tongue out at least 10 times! I don't know
if he was making faces at someone in the crowd or just being CRAZY MAN CRAZY! He told the
crowd that this was unfinished business and that he was glad to get off of the four year
plane ride from Rio de Janeiro, I guess that airplane food will make a band break up for
a while, I'm telling ya. He announced that this was one of the last shows of the Millenum
and that The Cult might be doing a show for New Years Eve. Looks like Las Vegas! I bet that
will be fun! To everyone out there who is a die hard CULT fan, suggestion for next year
when they go on tour. Take a month off from work and travel the country with them! I'm
sure they would get sick of us after a while. Any takers? Can wait to hear the IAN solo
album oh and Coloursound too! Peace. Highlights: Getting the setlist with both Ian and
Billy's signatures. Taking pictures inside the venue with being hasseled by security
gaurds. Watching THE CULT perform live, again! :) Enjoying the show with new and old
friends! NANCY! :) Thanks for the goodies! :) Getting to the show early, beating the
Orlando traffic, thank GOD. It was raining like MAD! Things I will avoid next time. Be
prepared to go to the next show in the next town, no matter what. No more drinking. One
Beer (Heiniken in the can) was $4.50 plus the tip! OUCH! Plus I don't need to anyway.
Bring a spare camera, I ran out of film half way through the show! :( CULT 2000 BABY!

The Cult are back and badder then ever! Thanks for one of the best shows i've seen. The
show was raw and tough, i never thought i'd be able to see The Cult, but i finally did.
They were awesome, can't wait to see them again. It's about time The Cult got back
together, it's great to hear real rock again. I also got a lot of great pics from the
show.
