House Of Blues, Los Angeles, California
Opening band: New American Shame

The celebration continues!!! Another great set by The Cult. They were very
tight tonight and there was some great energy from the LA crowd and hardly
any violence. Ian thanked the LA fans over and over again for the great
support. He was in great form tonight, all over the place, even down in
space between the audience and the stage and he dove off into the crowd
again tonight. He also made some choice comments about rock saying "this
isn't a fucking Bon Jovi show, with their bad hair and bad lyrics" and some
more things I won't repeat in this review. Before they broke into The
Phoenix, Ian told the crowd to "pretend you've taken fifty hits of acid and
are at Iggy Pop's house." Mike Dimkich did not have his guitar for some
reason through half of Love Removal Machine so Ian made him dance with him
and sing until a guitar was ready. Before throwing his tambourine into the
audience Ian bashed it against his head a couple of times and looked like he
drew a bit of blood. There is a day off and then the final show from the
House of The Cult.

Great show, best of the 3 I attended. High energy. Ian was great, the band rocked
as usual. One highlight during the improvisation segment of Sweet Soul Sister,
Ian prodded everyone to clap their hands saying, "Everyone that claps their hands will
all Go to heaven, Everyone clapping hands will all go to Heaven" There were a lot of
fans going to heaven that night. Another highlight, while Ian was trying to get more
people to dance he pointed out a middle aged man near the front and said "YOU, dance!
You probably haven't moved your ass in 10 years" I would hate to have been that dude, but
it was quite funny, Ian was laughing too. I have never seen IAN or Billy this happy
before, they are really doing it right. NOTABLE celebrities were Nicholas Cage who also
appeared on Sunday night's show. Michael Douglas showed up on SATURDAY night, I think.
Mick Fleetwood showed up on Wednesday's show. WELL, until the next Cult album arrives,
keep burning in the black sun. "I'm not the prodigal son, I'm not the chosen one, I'm
just a man of good intention"
