Bomb Factory, Dallas, Texas Audio Recording Exists

Well, I made it back from the show in one piece, which is no small accomplishment. They played at a venue called The Bomb Factory in Deep Ellum in Dallas which was basically a huge warehouse with a stage. There were about 1000 people there and all of them where trying desperately to get within 1 meter of the stage. I was directly in front of the stage at the beginning but as soon as The Cult came on, people pressed in so hard that I couldn't breathe or touch the floor, so I moved to one side a bit. That actually turned out to be a better spot, since I still had an awesome view of Billy and Ian, plus I didn't have to contend with all of the people crowd surfing. Anyway, about the show.....

You were right, Big Chief did suck... but the Cult was everything I expected and then some. Ian was in top form and all over the stage like a live wire. He was amazing. Billy was also incredible. A friend of mine had seen them live and said he was even better live that on the albums. Now I believe.

I was totally impressed with them...It was worth the 3 hrs drive through two severe thunderstorms and snow to get there. I would do it again in a heartbeat. Ian was really trying to get the crowd into the show, and people on the floor were just going nuts, but the people on the catwalks just stood there. How they could do that is beyond me.

I didn't get to meet them. The guy who said he would take me, took some other girl instead. (nice) But he did take some of my album covers to get them autographed. I'd better get them back.

After a long awaited 3 years my wish finally came true. It was a rainy night, severe storms on the way back. I met 2 friends from San Antonio up there. I drove from Nacogdoches (3 hours). At the time I thought great show but after all 4 dates It ranked in at #3. Earth Mofo had more energy than on any of the following nights. In The Clouds was a shocker, blew me away.

One of the best shows I ever saw. Billy was just incredible. Ian was rocking. Fire Woman brought the house down. This was a small place so it made it that much better. I was glad I saw them becasue I live in New York City and was going to see them later, but they cancelled the tour before they made it. I was in Dallas for business.

This was one of my fav Cult shows. Although we had to wait in line in the rain to get in. It seemed so mind blowing when they played Rain and I could feel raindrops falling on my head from the leaky ceiling!
