The Roxy, Brisbane, Australia

I saw The Cult at a music festival called the Big Day Out on the Gold Coast. They only played for an hour, the PA was playing up and we couldn't get to the front. Luckily the Promotions guy at the company got backstage and got the band to come into work to get some free clothes. I got to meet Ian, got a signed CD and my name on the door for their Brisbane concert. It was unreal. They even dedicated a song to us guys from Billabong which I ended up crowd surfing through. It was so hot up the front the bouncers were throwing water over the crowd. when the concert was over I had to go outside to cool off. The bouncers wouldn't let me back and I found out the next day all the other guy's from work got backstage and drank beers with the band till the early hours. The only other disappointment was they didn't play my favourite song Peace Dog.
