Ottawa Civic Centre, Ottawa, ON
Opening Act: Lenny Kravitz
It was a great concert. My first general admission experience. It was great.
All the songs were great. They played Edie (Ciao Baby) accoustically;
it was an amazing version. They played an amazing version of Peace
Dog!!! At the end of Wildflower, Ian tossed his tambourine and me
and my friends and a couple of other people got a piece of it!!! At the end
of the night, Ian turned to a section of people in the stands and asked them to
stand up for this last song, they didn't react so he said "Fuck it, I'll play
this for my friends down on the floor then". They played Love Removal
Machine and ended with a bang!!! It was great.

The first time I saw the Cult was during the Sonic Temple tour, same venue as
this gig, but a few years earlier. at that gig, I was nearly crushed to death
in general admission, and my friends had to slap my face repeatedly until I
came to. Bonham was the opening act. As I crawled out of general admission to
catch my breath, I landed on top of a guy in a wheelchair, who, much to my
surprise, promptly stood up. At the gig in '92, Lenny Kravitz was the opening
band, and the Cult blew him off the stage. The thing I remember most about
both shows is how unbelievably hard they rocked. What I love the most about
the Cult is that they owe much of their success to Canada. In a way, Canadians
adopted the Cult as their own, and that's cool. The other amazing thing about
the show in '92 was the depth of the song catalogue at that point. It was like
every song they played was a show-stopper. These guys are great!

For all the french fans, here some comments...
J'ai pu savourer quelques moments savoureux: entendre
Edie (Ciao Baby) accoustique fut magique.. Sans oublier les classiques
Peace Dog, Love Removal Machine et Wild Flower... Un concert
qui fut trop court! Ciao Baby!
