Opening Band: Tora Tora and Bonham
We had 8th row floor tickets for this concert. The opening bands were Tora
Tora and Bonham. Tora Tora put on a great show and were well received by
their hometown crowd in Memphis. My brother and I were super excited as this
was our first time to see The Cult live in concert. And they did not
disappoint - they kicked some major booty! Here's the set list: New York
City, Lil' Devil, Automatic Blues, American Horse
- really awesome live! Sun King, Edie (Ciao Baby) - Billy's
mike for his acoustic guitar was not working so he had to play the opening
to the song on his electric guitar. Peace Dog, Sweet Soul Sister,
Wild Flower, Fire Woman - the last song of the set. The two
encores were: She Sells Sanctuary & Love Removal Machine. We
were hoping that they'd play Memphis Hip Shake for Memphis but it didn't
happen. Oh well, it was a great show anyways!
