I went with my roomate & his friend to the show & easily got front row since we walked over early. His stupid friend, Steve got so drunk that he was kicked out before the concert ever started! I remember when I first heard of the show Dangerous Toys was supposed to be 1 of the openers which I was excited about. They were big at the time with "Teasin & Pleasin" being a pretty big hit but they were replaced on the tour by Tora Tora. They were decent enough, but the only song I knew was "Walking Shoes". The video was an MTV staple back then. Bonham was up second before the Cult & they we're fantastic! I remember seeing them walk around the Venue before the show. The only song I can remember from them was there very Zepplin sounding soung "Wait For You" which was a monster hit at the time.
The CULT Kicked fucking ass!! I will never forget thinking I'm not sure if the School actually knew what they we're getting into- when they hit the stage Ian shouted "ARE YOU MOTHER FUCKERS READY TO RIP THE FUCKING ROOF OFF THIS PLACE?!!" & Then he spit towards the audience. In fact, he spit a lot that nite. Ian sounded incredible & the sound was perfect. I remember thinking how "Fire Woman" sounded exactly like the Video. It was one of the best concert memories of my life! I am so glad I got to see them back in the day whwn Sonic temple was hitting big. I remember hearing that CD everywhere at the time.
