Opening Act: Bonham
This was their headlining tour for Sonic Temple. It was one of
the largest crowds on the tour and The Cult was really having a good
time. The openned with New York City did most of the material
from Sonic Temple and Electric and some from Love. I couldn't
believe all the flowers that came flying out of the crowd at Ian for
the first bit of the show. The girls were really going crazy for
him. It looked really cool. He was dressed in black and wore a
bright red bandana. I caught Matt Sorum's drum stick and you can see
me waving it in the boot video at Billy's feet during Love Removal
Machine. At the end of the show Ian thanked everyone and said "If
you ever see me walking down Yonge St, stop me and take me out for a
tea or something!". Ian says the weirdest things during the show. :)

My two girlfriends and I were the ones throwing all those flowers onto
the stage. I think we purchased about 10 dozen from a cheap vendor on
Yonge Street and carrier them in a huge black garbage bag. We had such
a blast showering the band with them, but I remember at one point Ian
gave us a look and motioned for us to cut it out! They were starting to
slip on them while running across the stage. This was the fourth time
I had seen the Cult but the first time we had been that close (2 row).
It was absolutely amazing! I wish I could remember more of that night,
but you know it was so overwhelming we were kind of in a daze! I just
found this site and now I'm going to try and dig out my old journals
and ticket stubs and photos so I can submit more items!
