Civic Centre, Ottawa, Ontario
Opening Band: Bonham
The thing that will always (10 years and counting) stick out in my mind about
this show is how unbelievably loud it was. Every time the bass drum was played
I could literally feel it in my rib cage. There was lots of moshing going on,
The Cult was really rocking hard, and they certainly had that cool Cult look
going on. There's not much else to tell. It was a great Cult concert! Looking
forward to July 30/99 in Toronto!!! TM - 06/07/99

It was the very first concert I went to and it was in support of the Sonic
Temple album. I've been a big fan since the Love album and actually wanted
to hear a lot of stuff from Electric (favourite album of all time). The opening
band was Bonham and they sucked. They got booed off the stage. Then, after 45
grueling minutes, they came on and they hit it off with Fire Woman. Excellent
way to start the crowd off. It only got better from there. They dived into the
goodies like Nirvana, Love Removal Machine, Rain, and of
course, closed it off with Wild Flower (I don't care what anyone said, it is
THE greatest guitar song in Rock N Roll). Of course, it would be the last
time I saw them, but none the less, it was a fabulous show. It didn't have the pyro
of a KISS show or an outrageous front man like David Lee Roth-era Van Halen. It was
a dynamite show that was packed with good tunes. It was my first concert I went to
and was the best concert I have been to so far.
