Opened For: Metallica

I was supposed to be at registration for my sophomore year at college on the 20th, but I skipped it to see The Cult (no worries, they let me take care of stuff the next day). My best friend and I were pumped about the show, even though The Cult was just opening for Metallica. The band burst onto stage with The Phoenix. Ian seemed a bit tired, but his voice was fine. Billy Duffy and Jamie Stewart were tearing it up, though. I couldn't believe it when Ian brought Steve Jones on stage to join in with Wild Flower. As I recall, they played 3-4 tunes each from Sonic Temple, Electric, and Love. It was a great show, and we actually left after The Cult. We weren't into Metallica, and I had a 5 hour drive to get to school the next day.
