Headlining, Opening Band: Bangkok Five, Strays
The Cult came out and played a high energy show.
Billy, the perfectionist that he is, wasn't happy with
the sound. He was frowning and shaking his head during
most songs, but still playing great. He can not be
fully appreciated until you see him play up close. He
is truly an amazing guitar player.
Ian rocked! He moved a lot on stage, and interacted
quite a bit with the audience. His mike didn't seem to
be loud enough at times, but he made up for it by
belting out all the favorites as loud as he could.
The band appreciated the crowd's energy and support.
In addition to their normal encore of She Sells
Sanctuary, they also played Nirvana.
The bassist (sorry, I don't know his name) had his
parents in the audience, and Ian made a point to say
how consistent and professional their drummer is each
night.
I didn't arrive in time to see the Strays or Bangkok
5, but having seen them a couple nights earlier in
Hampton Beach, NH, I didn't rush to see them again.
Ian praised both bands during the show. He said that
Bangkok 5 are dangerous, and they are what the future
will be.

The Cult sounded absolutely awesome Sat. night, the venue was great, the crowd was
a little less then it should have been for them and they for the most part kept
up with the same song list but they played Nirvana for the first encore which was
sweet! The energy and vibe of the show was better than the crowd and they are what
ROCK N ROLL is all about! They came out from the first song Lil' Devil and ripped
right through til Sanctuary - Brilliant. I was so pumped to see them again on this
tour, I saw them in NYC at the Nokia theatre in March and I was totally blown away
how they sounded and performed. Ian and Duff just are hitting on all accords there
- the look, the vibe, the energy and attitude all in tact and Rockin. Thank You Ian,
Duff and The Cult keep on Rockin'.

I saw The Cult at The Webster in Hartford in November. Time certainly does stand still
for a select few. Sound was fantastic! & their new drummer (forgive me Cult fans), John
Tempesta, is exceptional! Really flatters what they already had going with his clean,
hard rock rhythms. The boys all look good! Can't wait to see them again! & hear a new
album (oh, I've just given away my age, but I can't get used to saying, can't wait for
their next CD??!). Good luck to all!
