Packed. Hot. Loud. Energized.

South Florida has waited a long time for the return of The CULT and the full house at Club Cinema was ready for them. A beautiful venue in an old shopping center, the owners of this facility put up some grand dollars to produce a concert hall that has class, style, plenty of room and a state of the art sound and lighting system. Not to be critical, but Ian could barely be heard at times because the speaker towers were set far outside and above. There was no vocal running onstage. Still, it was a place truly worthy of an appearance by The CULT.

The openers were good tonight, perhaps stoked by the hall, and the Bangcock 5 did not irritate me like they did in St. Pete on Friday night. They acknowledged that they were thrilled to open for The CULT because The CULT has brought such bands as Guns-N-Roses, Lenny Kravitz & others to fame on their shoulders.

I don't think Bangcock 5 is a G-N-R though?..

Same set list,., standouts were the acoustic 'Star', 'The Phoenix' (Billy improvised the licks a little, which was cool) and 'Spiritwalker'.

And we danced.

The spirit was free.

This was one of those magical nights,. You know what I mean,., 'why we love The CULT',., why we travel great distance to be there,.,,. the connection between band on stage,,., the band connecting with adoring fans,., and the electric charge running through the crowd. This will go down as one of the standout shows when all is said and done.

'Peace Dog' really does have to go.
