Great Concert !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Everyone got out of their heads and the beer and plastic went flying. Ian sang for 1.5 hours straight. The band played all the songs perfectly. It was like coming home after 15 years.

Greetings and hope to see them again soon

July 4th 2006. It will be a date to remember. After almost 10 years of waiting, and not knowing if it would happen again, one of my all-time favourite bands was back in The Netherlands ! In a sold out venue they started the show around 21.10 hours and right from the start they kicked ass! Ian's voice was strong, surprisingly after touring for months with The Cult and The Doors, the sound was great and the crowd was enjoying it (despite the extreme temperature because of the summer heatwave. "Damn, it's hot in here", as Ian said). The band seemed to be in a good mood. Very often Ian has something to complain about (like a few months ago during the show with The Doors: "This is the shitiest microphone in 10 years"), but this time he was very relaxed. Billy was the one who had something to complain about, because he had a lot of problems with his wireless system. It didn't seem to spoil the atmosphere. Ian just made fun of it by telling it was all entertainment and that he thought we would like it as a part of the show. Finally he asked us to support Billy and so we did.

Highlights of the show were the (classic) songs Spiritwalker, Rain, Fire Woman, Rise and She Sells Sanctuary because of the solid sound and the typical wave-gothic Cult-tunes. During those songs the crowd was jumping and dancing the most. The only thing that couldn't satisfy me was the acoustic version of Edie. A beautiful song, but very empty when you hear it without other instruments but one acoustic guitar.

At around 22.50 hours the gig ended. Ian sincerely thanked us by telling he was amazed that we still love their music after all those years. It was great, it was pure, it was for rockers, wavers, lovers and sinners, it was simply Cult.

Thank you guys, hope to see and hear you soon

I was really surprised that they sound so good live! You could really feel the energy of the band and the crowd. I really will remember this concert for the rest of my life.
