Copenhagen, Denmark, Store Vega
Entering Store Vega in Copenhagen as the first person 7.02pm monday night. Got my
place at front row and waited, on what was to become the best Cult concert on Danish
soil in years. The Plce was slow to fill up, but at 9.pm it was packed solid. The air
was sweaty and filled with expectations on what was gonna happen! What would they look
like, do you stille sound great and so on...
9.15pm still nothing happend.... and then suddenly the intro starts, lights out, people
shouting, screaming, the time is finally here...
First man to take the stage was Billy D. dressed in black walking across to his guitar!
People went crazy!!!! Spotlight on the man, arm raised in the air and right there 12
years waiting was worth it!
The rest of the rythmsection took places and the opening lines of LilīDevil started and
out came Ian, older but tight! I had taken my old red Cult t-shirt on to stande out in
the crowd - and that was a good idéa. During the solo in LilīDevil Ian was standing right
infront of me and yelled - hey cool shirt! and give me 5! in the break between
spiritwealker and in the clouds, Billy made a dedication the the young man in the red
t-shirt in the front row (me) and ask the security to bring me on stage. This one is for
you he said an started In the Clouds! I was freaking singing the chorous along with
Billy!
Found my place back front row and witnessed a superb concert. The acustic Edie never got
me - I donīt know why but hey if thatīs all so.... As the the show went shorter the crow
went crazier! everybody went completly mad! She sells sanctuary closed the set and security
had thier hands full just keeping people away from the stage! Drumstix and plectorīs went
flying of the stage, Luckey me got both things! It all ended with Billy and Ian with their
arm around eachohter saying thanx and good night!
One can only hope they continue to make new music and get back here again soon!
