Arrived late as they started Brother Wolf; Sister Moon and they followed the remainder of the set list from the night before in L.A.

Great crowd, great sound. Probably as good or better as I’ve ever seen them. Ian got on the crowd a little bit, but definitely was won over by the end. I was excited to read the great reviews about the recent shows and they didn’t disappoint. You don’t get to see shows like this every day!

I saw The Cult at the Marquee theater in Tempe, AZ last evening. The show was killer! The band was nice and tight, and they played for a good amount of time. The only thing I can gripe about is the sound was kind of staticy. The energy and enthusiasm of the band more than made up for that however. I highly recommend that people go and check them out. This may be the last chance for a while from what Billy said. Anyhow, keep up the good work and go see them play!!

I caught the gig last night at the Marquee. Pretty much the same thing as others had said, the band was really tight. I saw them on the BG&E Tour and they rocked just as hard. I liked this setlist better though, good mix of older stuff. My favs were Spiritwalker, Brother Wolf; Sister Moon, and The Phoenix.

Someone else mentioned sound quality. I thought they sounded good, but, until I picked up the Instant Live CD, I didn't realize what I was missing. This CD sounds GREAT and it actually sounds better on there than they did live. I could make out Ian and Billy's comments MUCH better on the CD than at the show. They really seemed to be having fun and enjoying themselves. Catch this tour if you can and I would have been kicking myself if I didn't get the CD.

This show was absolutely the best I've seen out of the five times I've seen the Cult perform. Almost had to make an ethical decision about attending the show due to one of my patients going into preterm labor. Fortunately, the patient agreed to have my partner fill in for me. I wasn't about to miss this show.

These guys sure know how to put on a good rock show! Ian was very animated and genuinely happy to be there. Billy admitted he was ill, but he still performed like the professional he is. The audience was loud and energetic despite Ian and Billy's criticism regarding our enthusiasm. However, the crowd gradually got more "into the show" and the band acknowledged that by playing better and louder. I think the crowd took heed to Ian's words, " we better connect tonight or I'm going to fuckin' destroy you!"

I read one particular review of a previous show that criticized the rudundancy of the setlist and how songs like she sells sanctuary and wild flower are played at every show since 1986. I agree to a certain extent and can see where this person is coming from, however, those songs put the Cult on the map. Furthermore, I've never heard or seen those songs performed better than they were tonight. I purchased the instant live recordings of this show and the Las Vegas show and I am just floored by how good they sound.

Regarding the Vegas show, Ian said he was lucky to be on stage, or the tour for that matter, because he was told 2 months ago that he wouldn't be able to walk at this time. Was he injured? back or lower extremity operation? I'm just curious if anyone has any details about that.

The Phoenix show at Marquee Theatre was unbelievable! I thought it was all over, but they came back in full force. Ian voice was as good, if not better, than it's ever been. He and Billy were completely at peace with one another on stage, having real fun as they rocked the concrete walls to their foundation. I got the CD's via InstantLive. Incredible quality. As good as they've sounded in years.
