Wembley Arena, London, England

Went to see the band on Dec 11th 2003 @ Wembley Arena, London, mainly to see Ian on vocals but also out of interest as I have always been a fan, although The Cult were always first.

No warm up band for which I was actually quite grateful. The stage was set, the lights went down and up came a full stage size picture of Jim Morrison, cue already jam packed crowd to go insane and boy did they. Then the opening bars of Roadhouse Blues - a great intro - Ian , Robby Krieger , Ray Manzarek et al took to the stage to a wild audience.

The most striking part for me apart from how similar Ian looks to Jim, was the voice - you could close your eyes and it could almost be the Lizard King - but what a VOICE - I have never heard Ian sing with so much power - period - and I have seen a number of Cult gigs - he was just simply awesome.

The audience took to him well and there was some great interaction - I think the whole band were completely overawed by the UK crowd reaction to them - they just loved it - dancing in the aisles and singing along to every song.

It was one of those nights you realised you may never see again as Ian aside these guys are getting on. It wasn`t The Cult so it wasn`t quite the concert of my life but it was damn close - I would love to see The Cult back and hope deep down there`s another chapter there but if these guys do tour again I will be the first to go.
