4th and B was a fantastic place to see The Cult live and a great venue to end the short tour. The show started rather late with Ours opening and giving another great performance. After five shows I wasn't sure my voice could take much more yelling but as soon as Duel of the Fates started I forgot how hoarse I was. The guys played really well and the only snag came when Scott began the drums for Spiritwalker and Billy the guitar for Rise. It was Ian's fault he admitted because he said he had forgotten his reading glasses and couldn't read the set list. They all laughed it off and tore into Rise. The whole set was tight and Ian, clad in T-shirt and jeans, moved with great passion. The 4th and B crowd was phenomenal with only a couple brawls breaking out that I could tell. For the encore, Ian came out with a long black wig on and began to dance around saying "the hair not maketh the man", most likely aimed at all the fuss over his hair on the message boards. During She Sells Sanctuary he put it on Craig who played for a bit more until Ian tore it off him. I am so grateful I was able to hear Moya so many times live. Billy has really made that song his own and he adds so much to a fantastic beautiful song. Hopefully we'll get to hear more of the old stuff next time.
