The Cult rocked the house last night. Ian was in great form and a kick ass mood. Billy D was having some problems with his monitor but still played awesome and very loud. The opening band "Like Hell" left us all saying "What the hell was that all about"? Those guy's were strange. Great show!

This was the best Cult show I have seen and it may be one of the best I have ever seen. The Cult was in top form. Ian was very animated and he even tanked the crowd for coming and told us we were great to play for. Every song was amazing. I really enjoyed hearing American Gothic and Ashes And Ghosts. The crowd knew the old stuff but only the hard core fans knew the new stuff. I get goosebumps when they play the old stuff and the entire House Of Blues sings along. The set list was the same as the other shows. I can't wait to see them again.

Back at work today after seeing the CULT last night at House of Blues - Orlando. The place was pretty full but did not sell out this time around. Maybe it was due to the day of the week--Monday this time around versus a Saturday in July. I sat in the 2nd story loge section of the club, again--an excellent seat to see a show.

Every song of the current 17-song set-list was great. Although I missed hearing In The Clouds and Nirvana, Ashes And Ghosts, American Gothic, True Believers and Sun King were awesome. The new stuff comes off very well live. People were really into the new stuff, as well. The crowd seemed to respond to the Sonic Temple material the most. Ian seems to have permanently changed the words to Take The Power but this time it sounded more natural and the song did not lose the momentum it did last time around. Musically and performance-wise, some slight technical difficulties aside, Billy D., Matt, Billy M. and the rhythm guitarist were excellent. They really kicked ass. Ian's performance, however, was a 180-degree turn-around from the July show. He was in a good mood and called the crowd "crazy mother-fuckers" because of the thunderous applause and cheering after every song. I won't get too wordy but Ian summed up the whole night when before Love Removal Machine, he said, "you've been a fucking unbelievable audience tonight--thank you for gracing us with your presence". What else can you say.

The band and the crowd seemed to have that connection Ian and the rest of the CULT desire when they are onstage. We feed off of them and they off of us--creating the CULT Nation Ian made reference to earlier in the evening. Not to be cliché, but you could feel the love when after Love Removal Machine Ian tossed out the tambourine, looked out into the crowd, made an "X" over his chest with his arms, made the "love" sign with each hand and shouted, "Respect". Ian, as fans, that's all we ask of you and I promise you and the band, you'll always get it back--ten-fold--if not more. Peace.
