I have to disagree here. I came on here to apologize for the lack of emotion from the crowd at Conseco. maybe it was because a lot of us came from the dome after watching our Colts get throttled at the hands of the Pats. I thought the band sounded good, with the exception of Ian's vocals were at times undecipherable. I took my 20's daughter and her boyfriend which had never seen or heard the Cult, and they enjoyed them too for not knowing the tunes. Ian was genuinely trying to get the crowd into the music, and the crowd acted like they were all on downers of some sort. (do they still have ludes?) anyway I thought it was a fucking shame the man had to run thru the arena to get anyone to stand up, and I think that was only because they wanted to see what he was doing. People should have more respect for this band, And I for one was disappointed by the crowds lack of participation, not the music....Hope they come back some day.
I have to disagree with the first post. The Cult kicked ass in Indy. Song selection was great!!! At least they changed the setlist around. Yes Ian tried a bit too hard to win the crowd over. This is an almost impossible task considering 80% of the Aerosmith crowd were folk with around a 60 IQ. The Cult did their thing and very well!!! At some point they decided to fuck the Aerosmith crowd and perform their art. I did not here many boos or hisses from my seats. In the end it was not a "bad day", but a simple crowd.
