I can't hear or move my neck but other than that I am still floating on Cloud 9!!!!!!

The Cult kicked ass!!! It was a great set with the full encore, however, on Love Removal Machine they kept going and going and kicked it up into a frenzy and had the whole crowd going wild!!

When the concert started I could see Ian sitting next to the drums and then as they started Rise he made his way to the mic and sang his ass off. After the first song he explained to everyone that he had torn his calf muscle last night and that we would have to put up with him just standing there for most the night and he said that there would be a lot of this...(jingling his tambourine around). But everybody cheered and just wanted to hear more of this awesome band.

I must say I was pleasantly surprised by the crowd this time....last time I was almost ashamed that they didn't make more noise and move around more...but this time the volume was definitely notched up and alot more hands in the air....headbanging (including mine)...jumping up and down...and dancing.

I was right down in the front row against the barricades (my first experience so close) and let me tell you that is the only way to see them live. AAAAHHHH, I loved it!!!

Billy D.'s guitar was positively aflame, Matt's drums....let's just say I'm surprised the drums were in one piece by the end of the evening, Billy M. was banging away on the bass...he was so awesome and interacted with the crowd really well, Mike definitely got a lot of attention...he was great as well. And Ian...well what can I say...the singing was incredible!!!! He didn't drop a verse or word (although he did change some of the words around, but who cares!!) He is such the performer that even though he couldn't dance around on stage he still held everyone's attention and the house was pretty loud!!

At one point he did motion for an HOB staffer to be moved off the stage...the staffer was videotaping and I think it might have been distracting to Ian.

Then during the middle of the concert I saw a laser light zipping around on the curtain behind the band...I was worried that whoever was the owner of the light was going to mess around and shine it in Ian's eyes but it was gone soon enough. Thank goodness!!

I would love to see these guys every night! With their schedule and w/ Ian's injury I was thinking they would be tired hitting Vegas, but they played so fuckin hard!!!sorry for the language but it is necessary!!) If they were tired they hid it very well!

Bird3, the opening act, was really good!! I liked them better than SW or MM!!! My husband and I bought a CD and I got to meet Bird....he was very cool and very appreciative of his fans.

Just wanted to share my thoughts on the show last night in Las Vegas.

My fiancée won a radio contest so we were able to meet the band before the show. Everyone except for Matt showed up. Ian was limping, wearing some type of cast, and said that he had tore a muscle in his left calf the night before.

Both of us had seen the Cult before and think they are a great band but the sound last night was horrible. We've seen many shows at the House of Blues here in Las Vegas and this one's sound was the worst. When they started with Rise you could not hear Ian for the first half of the song. When they finally got his mic to work you could still barely hear him. Billy's guitar was way too loud. Ian kept motioning to the sound people backstage and was visibly frustrated but seemed to give up after about the 6th or 7th song.

The set list was the same as the previous shows. I don't want you to think that I had a bad time because I did get to meet them after all, but their sound people did not do a good job.
