I saw the Cult for the first time in Charlotte, NC and they rocked!! I wasn't that into them until I saw them live! They sounded awesome and they were definitely the best there. I can't wait to see them again on their next tour - thanks!
My girlfriend and I drove all the way from middle Georgia to Charlotte, NC just to see The Cult. Im 20 years old so this was actually my first time seeing them live, when I found out they were going to be there we got tickets first thing, I didn't care about any of the other bands there except of course The Cult, and Fuel was awesome, I really liked the fact that Brett Scallions (lead singer of Fuel) said they he was really excited about seeing quote: "One of the GREATEST rock bands in the world" and that the rock was back!!! Thats so cool that he acknowledged that. As for The Cult performance, it was unreal. It was the absolute BEST performance I have ever seen, or could ever imagine seeing!!! They kicked things off with Lil' Devil, it kicked ass!!! Ian was sporting a new hairdo, which I thought was cool, because his image is pure legendary rock n' roll, right up there with Jim Morrison, as the Greatest rock star ever!!! He really knew how to interact with the audience, he and the band were so much better and on a complete other level than any of the other bands!!! They did mostly Love, Electric, and Sonic Temple stuff!!!! I have never in my life seen anything like this before. Right before they came out I looked at my girlfriend and was literally shaking, and couldn't catch my breath in pure heavenly excitement, Ian is my idol and everything in life i will strive to be!!! What can I say I love Him, he is THE MAN!!! The way he captured the audience and grasped them in his bare hands was pure magic, he has that charisma that you rearely see its just unbelievable, and after I saw this show, I know for a fact that i as well as my girlfriend are the Biggest Cult fans in the world!!! They blew everybody away. I heard on 106.5 The End the next day from one of the DJ's on the radio that everyboday was calling in saying how GREAT The Cult was, that really brought a smile to my face, and she also said that they put on the BEST show she had seen in years, so there ya' go The Cult made everybody know that they are the Best band in the world!!! I really feel that they reached out to the kids and made some new fans, the performance was that good, I know that I will always remember Sept. 16th, 2000, as the GREATEST, MOST MAGICAL day of my life!!!! Thanx to Ian and the boys, The Cult is the GREATEST band in the whole wide world!!! Keep Rockin' ... The Best Is Yet To Come!!!
Traveled all the way from Philadelphia to see only the Cult. Great performance, lame crowd. Disappointed by his haircut. Not as great as their Oct 99 show at The Boathouse in Norfolk, VA, probably because of the lame crowd, I was the only one in my row standing up. Hope to see them on the East Coast again soon.
I love the Cult. I was immediately taken in by the Cult when I saw the video for Fire Woman. I have been a fan ever since. I enjoy their early work as well. I was so excited to finally see them last week. It was great. The concert only lasted an hour, but it was well worth the trip. I can't wait until their new album comes out and they start touring again.
The show rocked! We had front row seats, Matt Sorum invited us to hang out backstage, we exchanged #s, then invited to the hotel lounge party afterwards...the rest is definitly history! What a great bunch of guys!!!
