My comments are much the same as the other comment about this show. It was a supreme performance and the crowds energy fed the band and vive versa. I do wish I could have heard Painted On My Heart, Horse Nation or Zap City. No complaints though. The band sounded as sharp here as they did on the early part of the 94' tour, which I believe rivals the quality of the 85' shows. This version of the band simply blows away the tripe they played out back with the "Live at the Marquee" set and the rest of that era. One point about Billy though, he would do well to revisit the sounds he came up with in the early stages of the Cult and Theatre of Hate. The sound he is shooting for now is far less interesting and reminds me too much of the bulk of the uninspired and tuneless offering of countless ninties bands. The interesting underground bands out there often cop Billy's old sound to great effect. He should look back for inspration. Breathe sounds good. Ian is once again going on about aiming for unreachable goals when young. Great tune-but not much to hum along with. Billy needs to rethink the songs course. That's my opinion folks. What a great, great show. (Despite any critical thoughts!)
The Web Theatre was a cool venue for the Cult. Not to big and not to small. They played a great set with all the oldies and a taste of the new stuff, including one song they had not came up with an ending. It was alittle strange to see Ian with out any hair through. I mean NO hair. He wore simple warm ups and Tee shirts. He had all his move and his spirit that flowed like electric energy. It was a great to see them live again.
