One-half of the Doors reunited Monday (June 19) at the famed Whisky A Go-Go on the
Sunset Strip in West Hollywood, California. Guitarist Robby Krieger and his band were
the featured attraction at the club, playing songs from their new album, Cinematix.
Advertisements for the show promised some "special guests," and those in attendance
got lucky when keyboardist Ray Manzarek got up with his former Doors-mate on stage.
They were then joined by a completely bald Ian Astbury, lead singer of the Cult, and
the impromptu supergroup did the Doors classics
Roadhouse Blues and
Light
My Fire.
The Robby Krieger Band played last night (June 20) at Humpty's in Tahoe City,
California, and the next date on the group's itinerary is July 13 at the Santa
Monica Pier in Santa Monica, California.
