The Cult - ABSA Stadium, Mar 19/2000
Durban, South Africa, ABSA Stadium
Opening Bans: Fetish, Springbok Nude Girls
Opened For: Goo Goo Dolls, Lenny Kravitz
Just want to say I saw The Cult live in Durban, South Africa on March 19. and they rocked, I mean they really blew the place away. It was one of the greatest moments of my life, because i never thought i would ever see the cult in my hometown, and yeh, their performance was just amazing. They were only third on a 5-act bill (headlined by Lenny Kravitz and the Goo Goo Dolls), but the other bands just didn't get the crowd as wild, and Lenny tried - he jumped into the front row. The Cult's set left us drained, sated.

Nothing short of awesome. They played on a bill before the Goo Goo Dolls and Lenny Kravitz and it was a joke. They blew everyone away. The only dissapointment was that the set was only about an hour long 'cos it was a festival. I must make mention of the guy doing the sound, who I spoke to after the gig, he is awsome. I have seen some huge artists play but I have never heard sound quality at a concert like that in my life. Anyhow I met the band afterwards after about an hour of squabbling with security and they were everything one could hope for in a rock band, truely an experience I will never forget.
