My name is Jon Taylor. I'm a 1997 graduate of the University of Victoria in Victoria, British Columbia. I studied Computer Science and I now have my BSc degree. Victoria is a medium sized town on Vancouver Island at the very West end of Canada, blessed with the most beautiful and temperate climate in all of Canada. I love living here, and would never want to live elsewhere. Currently, I'm working at a small consulting company called OA Solutions as a Systems Analyst.
I was born February 16th, 1971 in this area of Canada, and have lived around here all my life. I have done a little bit of travelling in my life so far, going all the way across Canada as far as Quebec City, South as far as Tijuana, Mexico, to Hawaii, and to New Zealand.
One of my other hobbies is collecting things. I find that sometimes I'm am somewhat excited about collecting things. Once I start on something, I persue it without letting up. Another collection that I'm involved in, other than The Cult, is beer bottles and other beer paraphanalia. I have over 300 different bottles, plus a bunch of beer mats, cans, buckets, posters, and even a keg (empty). Other things I collect include: Rolling Stone magazines, money, and music in general. I honestly can't say why I collect so many things, but I just find it very enjoying.
I've been to a bunch of concerts, and you can see the list of shows I've caught by clicking here. I personally enjoy a smaller venue over a huge stadium event because I like the intimacy the venue provides.
I like the Simpsons, the Far Side, blue, Nicholas Cage, the Vancouver Canucks, my bike, Fandango, hockey, Jacques Villeneuve, Hermann's Dark Lager and Mexican food
I wear a Swatch, prefer Dr. Pepper over Coke or Pepsi, boxers over briefs, Subway over McDonalds, microbreweries over those big ones, soft beds over hard ones, blue jeans over slacks, long hair over short hair, rock over dance, and cats over dogs.
