Fillmore Auditorium, Denver, Colorado
Opening band: New American Shame
Just caught THE CULT at the Fillmore. Had to pretend I was sick to leave work.
It was incredible! These guys rock harder than ever!!! Like a fine wine, Ian's
voice just gets better over time. I saw 'em open for Metallica in '89 and Ian
was really strugling to hold a note. I was not at all impressed then. This time
around, it's a different story! They rock live as good or better than their albums,
now. Here's a list of what they did from what I can remember (no order): Wild Flower,
Lil' Devil, Peace Dog, Love Removal Machine (encore), Rain,
Revolution, She Sells Sanctuary, The Phoenix (encore), Sun King,
Fire Woman, Sweet Soul Sister, New York City, Edie (Ciao Baby) --
people were moshing to that, can you believe it? I think they did Coming Down the
other one I didn't recognize, but it wasn't from Dreamtime, so I think it was from
an upcoming record. I'm not up on all the new stuff. Great show! Do not miss this at any
cost! Ian and Billy ROCK! Jamie who?

Just wanted to say, that I saw The Cult last night. It was an exceptionally awesome
show! If you get the chance, check them out, you won't be disappointed. I'm glad
they are back together, can't wait to hear some new material from them! Don't miss
this show!

Great show!! Ian was wearing Pokemon T-shirt. He almost got in a fight with an
audience, but preached "compassion" afterwards. He might be becoming buddhist?
Great to have them back in the rock scene. I got a T-shirt with the same design
as "Love" album for $25.

I have seen The Cult the last 4 times they have played here in Denver. This last
show on the 21st of July was one of the best shows I have ever seen. They played
at the new Fillmore (old mammoth event center) not a great venue for sound, but they
blew it up. They played their old great hits (She Sells Sanctuary, Rain),
big hitters (Love Removal Machine, Wild Flower) and to hear The Witch
live was just incredible. It seems like The Cult never went away as a matter of fact this
is the best I have ever heard. I was very goddamn happy to see them again. I look forward
to the new album. The opener for them was New American Shame, just a kick ass rock and
roll band. Great combo that show was.

I saw the Cult in Denver this past week. I would have to say it was a religous
experience. This my fifth time seeing them live, my first in Denver. I'm trying
now to make it home to Chicago to see them again. This was by far the best live show
I've seen them perform. The band was tight, they sound and look the best that I've
ever seen. The last two times I saw them they seemed to have drifted from their
orginations (Love and Electric). I am glad they have once again embraced them,
so that the fans who go all the way back could have the fix they oh so needed.
Can't wait for the new album! I predict the Cult will rule atleast, the first
decade of millenium and I don't think anyone who was at this show would disagree.
