The Garage, London Highbury, England
Simply awesome gig advertised in the corner of crap music publication (NME I think).
The Ba-Ba's were superb with stuff from the album and all the old Cult Classics, at
a venue with a pub atmosphere and a few hundred people going mental and with Mr
Astbury at his non-gothic best.

What a great small place. Holds what? 200? Couldn't be much more
than that. Guess which pillock drove all the way up from Brighton without
his ticket? Yep, me. I had to replace it with one purchased from a tout.
Not a good start and I missed all the support bands. But what a fantastic
gig. I actually have the Holy's album as one of my favourites, so I was
always going to enjoy this one. Only one Cult song played - Wild Flower -
and somehow that seemed okay... this being the Holy Barbarians and not the
Cult after all. Highlight of the night was when I was getting into it with
my eyes shut and looked up to see Ian leaning over me (I was right at the
front) and he reached over me and touched my hand! (How sad am I?)
