Urban Art Bar, Houston, Texas

"Good evening ladies and gentlemen, we are the Sexy Librarians. This entire performance this evening is dedicated to all the woman of Houston. I went to two radio stations today. I went to the Buzz and everybody there was real cool and then I went to Rock 101 and they gave me a hard time... and they don't like women... what the FUCK IS GOING ON IN THIS COUNTRY? Are you ready?"

That's how it started. As soon as Blind kicked in I was awestruck by the sound quality. Whoever was running sound that night deserves some sort of eternal reward for mixing it just right. I could hear the bass and feel the drums. The vocals were 100% crisp clarity. Pat's guitar was utterly immaculate. I've seen Ian perform 12 times now and this is the most consistently intense he's been so far. Pat was intensly laid back. The energy level picked up where the San Antonio show left off. The band was on fire like a thousand suns that burn on. I mean everything was perfect. The sold out crowd deserve a lot of credit as well. I've seen concerts spanning 6 states and 11 cities and Houston has consistently shown me they are the most rocking town in the South. The band had a lot more rapport with the audience than the previous shows which was supercool.

"I've got to go see my fucking psychic. I've got Dion Warwick backstage... and she's naked and everything's just... so exciting... gotta go." Ian said before the encore. If I had to pick my favorite song of the evening I would end up writing down the entire set list. I will say this, musically speaking this is the best concert I have ever been to. I don't know what else to say other than on June 21st in Houston Texas, the intensity at the Urban Art Bar was enough to jolt the North American Continent. The only anticlimactic part for me was I didn't get to meet Ian, but there was still one more show to go.
