McGuffy's House of Draft, Dayton, Ohio

I was very fortunate to see the Holy Barbarians last week. They played a small club in Dayton, Ohio called McGuffy's House of Draft. In a word the performance was AWESOME!!!

They played most of the new album and I might add Ian's voice was flawless. I had a chance to have a few beers with Ian and some guy from Reprise records and they told me they plan to play small venues throughout North America.

By the way Ian was trying to avoid any association to The Cult (although they played The Witch and Wildflower was the encore) he cut his hair real short and it looks like he put on a few pounds. I hope he is not doing the Elvis/Morrison thing if you know what I mean?

Bottom line the show was awesome and I really dig the new album. In case you are wondering the guitar player can pull off Billy Duffy's licks.
