Detroit, Michigan, The Fillmore

Headlining, opening bands: The Clicks, Signal

All I can say is FUCK!!! What an amazing show!!!

Despite the usual guitar problems here and there, this show was one of the best I've been to. What an awesome venue and crowd. The stage sat lower than usual, it was about two feet higher than the main floor. My wife and I stood at the gate between Ian and Billy and we were right there, just feet away from the boys. The crowd was in complete chaos, one mammoth onslaught of people grooving to some awesome music, and it didn't matter how far you looked back. I can't count the amount of surfers that were being passed around.

DETROIT, by far, is CULT CITY!!! The band was truly feeding from this, you could see it in Ian's eyes, I think even he was amazed. The Duf, too, was feeding of the crowd. He extended his solo pre-Phoenix - ended up using a tambourine as a guitar pick (really cool). I believe that Billy was feeling much better. Chris and Mike were into it as well. They were both jumping about. Johnny T was beating the shit out of that kit. He must go through new heads every week.

The new stuff is fucking awesome live. A way better mix than the album. And to the journalist of the article who said that Billy shot his wad on the Diablo CD, if they had been at last nights show, Billy would have shot his wad on their forehead...
