Manchester, England, Apollo
Went to the gig last night & I haven't seen them since 1989.
Wasn't sure what to expect but they were absolutely awesome.
Ian Astbury & Billy Duffy were incredible. The playlist was excellent, playing all
the classics and they both put so much energy in, it really made it an enjoyable
night.
PS - thought Ian looked really 'of the moment'. His style & look has evolved
brilliantly over the years - he looked contempory & 'cool' with his hair &
clothes.
Richard Thomasson - Manchester
The Cult were one of those bands I always wanted to see, only catching on to them in 1989
with Sonic, I fortunately had friends with older siblings who had Electric and Love albums
so I quickly caught up, however I never managed to see them live, until Wednesday night
when they played The Apollo in Manchester.
It was superb and they lived up to the expectation and more.
It would be excellent if they could produce another album and tour off it, because they
clearly still got it.
That's Rock n Roll For You, That's Rock n Roll.
